Kate Middleton Makes Her First Official Royal Outing! All Of The Details Of Her & Prince William’s Glam Night—Including Her $6,200 Gown!

Prince William and Kate Middleton partied alongside the likes of Elizabeth Hurley and Kevin Spacey at a  glitzy charity gala Thursday night, and aside from looking stunning, pin-thin Kate surprised party-goers with her voracious appetite!

“She’s quite the eater…Kate ate a lot…I don’t know where she puts it,” a source told Us Weekly, of the Princess, who sipped Baron de Rothschild champagne, and inhaled the main course of Kobe Beef.
At the gala—which benefited the charity Absolute Return For Kids (ARK)—Kate dazzled in a blush pink Swarovski crystal-studded gown with flutter chiffon sleeves by British designer Jenny Packham. Cost of the gown? $6,253. The style-savvy princess paired the chic gown with a pair of L.K. Bennet heels, with a side bow and zipper up the back—which retails for a more affordable $285.
Aside from Hurley and Spacey, the $16,300-a-head soiree, held at Kensington Palace, drew 900 guests, including Tom Ford and Jemima Khan. AlthoughPrince William and Kate attended the Epsom Derby last weekend, they attended it withPrince Harry, so last night’s gala—which helped raise $28 million for charity—was considered their first, official post-wedding debut as a couple.
According to Us Weekly, Prince William and Kate didn’t sit next to each other but they were constantly “looking at each other and smiling”, a guest told the magazine. “They were almost smirking. It was cute. Like they were trying not to giggle.”
The evening marked the start of a joint initiative between ARK and the Foundation Of Prince William and Prince Harry and The Duchess Of Cambridge, the latter of which is a children’s charity the princes launched. Prince William poked fun at its long name, jokingly referring to it as “FPWPHATDC.”
Prince William told the crowd, “I know that I am very fortunate. I have had a good education, a secure home and a loving and supportive family. So many young people do not have these advantages. I really believe that individuals can make a serious difference. My brother, Catherine and I hope to use our philanthropy as a catalyst for meaningful change.”
